Story Time in the Classroom: A Coloring Page Full of Stories
The picture is full of little details that will bring your child joy while coloring. The author with her open book, the children on their chairs, maybe a shelf full of colorful books in the background, and windows letting the light stream in. There's plenty to discover and fill with color.
Coloring Tip: Telling a Story in Colors
Let your child think about what story the author might be reading aloud. Is it a high-seas adventure? Then bold blue and turquoise could work well for the water and sky. Is it about an enchanted forest? Then rich green and mysterious purple make exciting companions. The children in the picture can be dressed in wonderfully different ways, with colorful sweaters, striped socks, or checkered pants, each character becomes a little one-of-a-kind.
The bookshelf in the background can be as colorful as you like too, after all, every book spine holds a different story. If you want, color the author an especially pretty dress or give her your favorite colors. You can download the coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are some crayons, and the shared coloring and story time can begin.
