Piggyback Through the Jungle: The Baby Monkey on Mom's Back
What makes this picture so special is the closeness between the two monkeys. Your kids can color the mother's long arms as she holds on to the branches, and the baby's tiny fingers gripping into mom's fur. Add to that round monkey ears, curious button eyes, and maybe a few leaves or a banana in the background for decoration.
Coloring idea: Two monkeys, two fur tones
A nice trick for this picture is to color mother and baby in slightly different shades of brown. That way the two stay easy to tell apart, while still looking like a real little family. Warm brown tones work well for the fur, while the belly and face can stay a bit lighter, almost beige or soft pink. If you like, give the background a lush green and a bold yellow for the banana, and the whole scene will look like a real trip through the rainforest.
Simply download the picture for free and print it out at home on a regular A4 sheet. All you need then are some crayons, a cozy spot on the couch or at the kitchen table, and the little monkey family is ready to be colored in. Maybe you can even make up a little story about where the two monkeys are headed and what they get up to by the end of the day.
