On a Hike: The Bear Family Explores the Forest
What's especially lovely about this picture is how much life it holds. Your child can color in the bears' shaggy fur, add cracks and moss to the tree trunks, or give the forest floor some texture with leaves and stones. Even the littlest bear at the back of the line, dawdling a bit, invites some storytelling.
Tip: Autumn Colors for a True Forest Feel
For a harmonious picture, it's worth going for warm earth tones. Brown and beige for the fur, dark green and olive for the leaves, plus a touch of orange and red for mushrooms or autumn leaves on the ground. If you like, let the sun peek through the treetops with a soft yellow.
Maybe you can think together about where the bear family might be heading - to a picnic spot, a river, or simply back home to their den. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the little forest hike with crayons can begin.
