The fox family in front of their cozy den
Your child can discover and color in several things here: the fluffy tails of the foxes, the little pointed ears, the entrance to the den between the roots, and of course the green and brown of the forest all around. Leaves, grasses, and maybe even a curious butterfly are also waiting to be colored in.
Coloring tip: From light to dark fox fur
A nice trick for fox pictures is to start with a light orange and add a bit of darker brown or black at the tip of the tail, the ears, and the paws. This makes the fur look much more lively right away. The foxes' bellies can stay white or cream-colored, which looks especially cute.
For the forest in the background, different shades of green work well, along with a warm brown for the tree trunks and the mound of earth in front of the den. If you like, you can tell your child a little story while coloring: maybe the mother fox is just coming back from searching for food, and the little ones are already looking forward to dinner. You can download this coloring page completely free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper. That way, nothing stands in the way of a cozy afternoon with crayons or colored pencils, and the fox family finally gets its favorite colors.
