The hardworking gardener and her fragrant compost pile
There's plenty for your child to discover here, both for coloring and for looking at closely. There are the sturdy gardening gloves, the handy apron, the compost pile with all its layers, and surely a curious earthworm peeking out of the soil. Maybe the gardener is even wearing a cap, so she doesn't get too sweaty while turning the pile.
Coloring tip: soil can be colorful
Many people think compost soil is simply brown, but take a closer look. With different shades of brown and olive, a bit of black for the dark spots, and maybe some orange for dried-up leaves, the pile really comes to life. The gardener herself can wear cheerful colors too, a bright red for her jacket or a rich green for her rubber boots are lots of fun.
If you like, tell a little story while coloring: how the gardener checks on her garden every day and is happy when old greenery turns into new soil for the flowers. You can download the picture for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, then nothing stands in the way of a cozy coloring afternoon.
