A Little Act of Courage: The Lion Cub Climbs Its First Tree Stump
There's plenty for your child to discover and color here. The fluffy mane, the curious eyes, and the tiny claws the lion cub uses to hold onto the wood all invite a closer look. The tree stump itself, with its round wood grain, and maybe a few blades of grass and leaves around it, are also waiting to be filled with color.
Coloring Idea: From Soft to Sunny
Warm colors like golden yellow, honey, or a soft orange work especially well for the mane, while the lion cub's body can be kept a bit lighter, almost like sand color in the midday sun. The tree stump can be beautifully shaded in different shades of brown, from light beige to a rich chocolate brown for the shadowy spots. If you like, you can add a few green blades of grass or colorful flowers around it to create a little lion landscape.
You could even make up a little story to go with it: maybe the lion cub wants to look out from the stump to see if his lion family is nearby, or maybe he's just practicing how to roar like a big lion. Your child is free to invent their own story as the crayons move across the paper. Just download the picture for free and print it at home on a regular A4 sheet, and the coloring fun can begin.
