A strong lumberjack fells a mighty tree
The picture shows lots of exciting details to color in. There's the lumberjack in his practical work clothes, the solid tree trunk with its rough bark, and of course the forest all around with small bushes and maybe a few curious birds. Your kids can really dive into the world of forestry work here and discover how much strength and skill a job like this takes.
Coloring tip: make the tree rings visible
A nice trick for little artists is to color the already hinted tree rings on the trunk in different shades of brown, which instantly makes the trunk look much more realistic. The lumberjack's work clothes can shine in bold red or blue, while the forest in the background adds depth with rich shades of green. A cheeky squirrel watching the scene can also be colored beautifully in orange or brown.
Maybe you can tell your child a little story about why the tree is being felled and what might later be made from the wood. You can download the coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the creative afternoon in the forest of imagination can begin.
