The mermaid with shimmering hair on her favorite rock
There's plenty for your child to discover here. The long, wavy hair invites experimenting with lots of different shades, and the scales on her fish tail are just waiting to be decorated with patterns and sparkly colors. Then there's the rock she's sitting on, and maybe a few curious seashells around her that could use some color too.
Tip: An ocean full of color ideas
Let your child have free rein with the mermaid's hair, since mermaids are allowed to have purple or turquoise hair too, after all. The fish tail is perfect for gradients from green to blue, and a few silvery or golden dots will make the scales look even more magical. The rock can stay gray or be livened up with little patches of green moss.
If you like, you can come up with a little story to go along with it: maybe the mermaid is waiting for the sunset before she slips back into the water. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on an A4 sheet. All you need then are some pens, a quiet moment, and the colorful underwater adventure can begin.
