A mermaid that sparkles as bright as the moon
There's plenty for your child to discover here. The mermaid's long hair can flow wildly in the wind, her tail fin can be decorated with all sorts of patterns, and in the background the moon, stars, and gentle waves are just waiting to be filled with color. Little seashells or starfish on the beach add even more coloring fun.
Tip: Use dark colors to capture the moonlit night
Since the scene takes place at night, it's worth working with darker tones. Dark blue or purple for the sky, along with a bold yellow or silver for the moon, creates a lovely contrast. The mermaid herself can shine in bright colors, turquoise, purple, or pink for her tail look especially good against the calm night sky.
If you like, you can come up with a little story together beforehand about why the mermaid is sitting on this particular beach. Maybe she's waiting for a shooting star, or simply listening to the sound of the sea. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, so nothing stands in the way of a cozy coloring evening together.
