A clever monkey cracks his nut
There's plenty for kids to discover here. The monkey's shaggy fur, his curious eyes, the gnarly nut in his hands, and the solid rock beneath him are just waiting to be brought to life in bright colors. A few leaves or some grass in the background can also conjure up a bit of jungle atmosphere.
Tip: Brown in every shade
When coloring, it's a great idea to try out different shades of brown for the monkey's fur. From light beige to dark chocolate brown, the fur will instantly look much more lively and three-dimensional. The nut itself can shine in warm ocher or sandy brown, while the rock brings calm to the picture in gray or slightly bluish tones.
If you like, tell your child a little story along the way: maybe our monkey searched a long time for this very nut, or perhaps he ends up sharing it with a friend. Little stories like these make coloring together even more fun. You can download the picture for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, so nothing stands in the way of coloring fun.
