Moon Over the Mosque: a quiet picture for special evenings
There's plenty for little artist hands to discover here: the gentle curves of the domes, the delicate decorations on the doors and windows, the moon with its soft face, and the sparkling starry sky. Every space invites your child to fill it in with crayons or colored pencils, however they like.
A little coloring idea for your evening
How about painting the sky in deep blue or soft violet, so the yellow or silver moon really shines? The mosque itself can be as colorful as you like: turquoise and gold are reminiscent of many real mosques, but pink or green look wonderful too. Let your child experiment and discover which colors suit the moonlit night best.
If you like, tell a little story while coloring: perhaps the moon watches over all the children going to sleep, while the stars keep it company. That way, coloring becomes a cozy moment before bedtime. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on a regular A4 sheet. Get a few pencils ready, make yourselves comfortable, and let the peaceful moonlit night over the mosque shine in your colors.
