A mountain village in spring awakens for coloring
What makes this image so special is the contrast between the stern, wintry mountain peaks and the cheerful, colorful awakening in the valley below. Your child can discover flower meadows in front of the houses, a narrow mountain path, maybe a few birds in the sky, and of course the house facades just waiting to shine in their favorite colors. Every corner of the picture tells a little story of spring in the mountains.
Tip: Think in color layers from peak to valley
A lovely approach is to color the picture just like nature itself, from top to bottom. The mountain peaks can stay in soft white or light blue, as the last remnants of snow. Further down, things can get truly spring-like, with lush green for the meadows, warm brown or red for the rooftops, and maybe a few yellow dabs for the first flowers. This naturally builds a feel for how colors and seasons change in the mountains.
If you like, you can even make up a little story while coloring about who lives in the houses and what the villagers are up to. You can download the Mountain Village in Spring coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home, ideally in A4 format, so there's enough room for all the details and colorful ideas.
