Mountains Coloring Page: Peaks, Valleys, and Plenty of Adventure
The picture shows an impressive mountain range with pointed peaks, deep valleys, and plenty of space to color in. Your child can design snow-capped mountain tops, paint green meadows at the foot of the mountains, or discover little details like clouds and birds. So there's definitely enough room for imagination.
Tip: Tell a story with color through altitude
A lovely idea is to mark different altitudes with different colors. Down at the base of the mountain, you can use rich green for meadows and forests, in the middle earthy brown tones for rock and scree, and right at the top bright white or soft blue for snow and ice. This also gives a little sense of how nature changes with altitude.
If you like, you can also invent a little story: perhaps behind the tallest peak lives a shy mountain goat friend who only comes out when the sun is shining. Little stories like this make coloring even more lively.
