A parrot on a palm tree is waiting for some color
Your child can give the parrot colorful feathers and decide whether the palm tree stands on a sunny beach or deep in the thick jungle. Perhaps you can discover together how the long tail feathers extend beyond the branch and how the leaves stretch out in every direction. The sky around the palm tree can also be filled in with clouds, sunshine, or a little rainbow.
How to make the palm tree guest especially colorful
A parrot can shine brightly: red, yellow, green, and blue are all wonderful choices for its feathers. For a slightly more mysterious bird, you can mix purple with turquoise or color a few feathers orange. The palm tree trunk looks lively in light and dark brown, while the leaves look beautifully tropical in several shades of green. If you like, add a tiny coconut or a curious butterfly among the leaves.
Perhaps the parrot is calling out to its friends that a picnic is about to begin on the island. What color is its favorite branch, and where will it fly next? You can download this picture for free and print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are colored pencils, crayons, or markers and a cozy spot for coloring.
