Up, Up and Away: The Pilot Conquers the Rainbow
This picture is a little adventure for crayons and imagination alike. Your child can give the plane shiny colors, paint a cheerful face on the pilot, and of course make the rainbow shine in every color. The clouds also offer plenty of room for soft shading or little made-up details like birds or sun rays.
Coloring Tip: A Splash of Color After the Rain
A nice way to start is by coloring the rainbow first, since it sets the color mood for the whole picture. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple can follow the correct order, or not, the main thing is to have fun. You can color the plane in a bold red or classic silver, while the pilot might wear a blue jacket and a red cap, just however your child likes it.
For the clouds, a soft gray or simply white with a few light blue shades works nicely, making them look wonderfully airy. If you like, you can also draw little puddles on the ground that reflect the rainbow colors. You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on letter-size paper, and the flying fun can begin.
