A Pony Flies Over the Rainbow

Your child can really let loose while coloring. The mane offers plenty of room for bold color combinations, the rainbow invites a colorful gradient, and in the background a few little clouds or stars might be waiting to be discovered and colored in. Large areas alternate with small details, so both patient painters and impatient whirlwinds will get their money's worth.

Tip: The Rainbow as a Color Lesson

A lovely way to start is to name the rainbow colors together before you begin: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. That way, coloring becomes almost by itself a little journey of discovery through the world of colors. The pony's mane, however, is welcome to break the pattern, in pink, turquoise, or a cheeky purple, whatever the little artist prefers.

If you like, you can also make up a little story while coloring about why the pony is jumping over the rainbow. Is it celebrating a party? Is it looking for treasure at the end of the arc? You can download the picture for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the colorful jumping adventure can begin.
