A ray glides elegantly over the coral reef
All around it, the coral reef awaits with its winding shapes and tiny hiding spots. Curious fish can pop up, starfish can snuggle into corners, and coral branches can grow in every direction. Your child gets to decide just how lively and colorful this little reef will look in the end.
Coloring idea: from gentle gray to a reef full of color
In nature, rays are often rather plain in color, but when coloring, a little imagination is welcome. How about a soft blue-gray or a delicate lilac for the body, while the underside stays a lighter shade? This creates a lovely contrast that really makes the ray pop off the page.
The reef itself, on the other hand, can be as loud as you like: corals in pink, orange, and turquoise, with maybe a curious yellow fish in between. The water can be made exciting too, for example with different shades of blue fading from light at the top to darker below.
