Knock, knock: The sculptor shapes the stone
Your child can really let their imagination run wild here, because there's so much to discover. There's the sturdy tool belt, the rough block of stone with its jagged edges, and of course the tools themselves, which take center stage in the scene. The sculptor's clothing, too, perhaps a rugged apron or work shirt, is just waiting to be brought to life with bold colors.
Tip: Conjuring stone texture with shades of gray
For the stone itself, it's worth reaching for more than just one shade of gray. Feel free to try out different shades from light gray to dark gray to make the rough surface look truly alive. Little speckles or dots make the stone look even more realistic. The tools can shine in bold brown or silver, while the tool belt really stands out in warm leather brown.
