Soldier Planting a Tree in Camp Coloring Page

So glad you stopped by. This coloring page shows a especially friendly side of everyday camp life: a soldier isn't digging a foxhole, but a small planting hole, to plant a young tree. A picture like this just feels good, don't you think?

A Soldier Plants a Tree: A Coloring Page Full of Hope

Your child can color in the soldier's uniform here, the soil around the tree, the fresh green leaves, and maybe a few tents or vehicles from the camp in the background. A spade, a watering can, and the sky are also waiting for some color. Plenty of room, then, for little artist hands, who are more than welcome to color outside the lines.

Coloring Tip: From Camp Gray to Garden Green

A lovely contrast appears when the soldier stays in muted tones, like olive, khaki, or sandy brown for the uniform, while the little tree and the grass shine in bright spring green. This way, the picture shows, almost in passing, that even in a camp there's room for something new and alive. The tree bark can be brown, and the leaves can be colored in several shades of green, which makes it all feel much more lively.

If you like, tell your child a little story to go along with it: the soldier plants the tree so that later, once it has grown tall, someone can sit in its shade and rest. A sweet idea to share while coloring. You can of course download this coloring page for free and print it out at home with ease, best on regular A4 paper. Then all you need are crayons or colored pencils, a quiet moment, and the coloring fun can begin together.
