Bravely Through the Thicket: A Soldier Swims Through the Swamp
There's plenty for your child to discover and color in here: the soldier's gear, the curly water plants, maybe a few curious frogs at the edge, and of course the mysterious swamp water itself. Every character and detail invites them to tell their own little story with crayons or watercolors.
Tip: Green and Brown Tones for a Real Swamp Feel
Various shades of green and brown work especially well for a fitting swamp atmosphere. The water can be a mossy green or muddy brown, while the plants can be done in rich dark green or even brightened up with a few yellow dots for flowers. The soldier's uniform can be done in classic camouflage colors like olive, khaki, and brown, which fits the surroundings nicely while still leaving room for your own ideas.
If you like, you can invent a little story to go with it: maybe the soldier is searching for a treasure sunk deep in the swamp, or he's on a secret mission. That makes coloring twice as exciting. You can download the picture for free and print it out at home on A4 paper - then the little adventure with crayons can begin.
