Starry Sky Above the Lighthouse by the Sea: Nighttime Magic to Color

In the picture, a tall lighthouse keeps watch over the dark waves. Its beam of light travels across the water while countless stars twinkle in the sky. Perhaps your child will spot a particularly bright shooting star or imagine that a ship is heading home beyond the horizon. Between clouds, sea, and rocks, there are plenty of areas to color in all sorts of different ways.

Which colors shine in the night?

Rich dark blue, violet, or a soft nighttime gray work beautifully for the sky. The stars can glow sunny yellow, cream, or shimmering silver, while the lighthouse beam can stay almost white. The sea looks wonderful in shades of blue and turquoise, but dark green also makes the waves feel mysterious. The lighthouse itself could have classic red-and-white stripes or wear entirely new colors – after all, every little coastal town has its own rules.

Perhaps you can tell a little story while coloring: Tonight, the lighthouse keeper has discovered a message in the stars and is showing a tired sailboat the safe way. You can download the picture for free and print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are colored pencils, a cozy spot, and a little imagined sound of the sea.
