A cozy walrus on its favorite rock
Your child can discover the wrinkles on the walrus's body, the tiny whiskers around its mouth, and of course those impressive tusks. All around, the waves splash against the rock, and maybe a seagull is even flying by overhead. So there's plenty to discover and color in before the crayon even comes out.
Tip: From the rock to the water's surface
Walruses usually have grayish-brown to pinkish-gray skin, but when it comes to coloring, there are no limits to imagination. Gray, brown, or even a soft pink work great, and for the rock, shades of gray or a warm beige are perfect. The sea can shimmer in various shades of blue, maybe with a few white foam caps on the waves.
If you like, you can even make up a little story: Why is the walrus sitting right here? Is it waiting for friends, or just enjoying the sun? Little stories like these make coloring even more fun. You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 or Letter paper. All you need then are crayons or colored pencils, and the shared time at the craft table can begin. A lovely motif for rainy afternoons or as a little ocean break in between.
