An archaeologist discovers an ancient vase in the desert
On this coloring page, your child can spot the researcher with her hat, brush, and curious gaze. Around her are warm sandy hills, rocks, and perhaps tiny tracks in the ground. The ancient vase is the centerpiece of the picture: It can be decorated with patterns, lines, dots, or little pictures, just as if it were a find from a forgotten city.
Sand colors, treasure patterns, and a little mystery
Yellow, beige, ochre, and orange are perfect for the desert. The archaeologist can have a brown hat, a light shirt, and practical trousers, while the vase looks especially mysterious in reddish brown, turquoise, or gold. If you like, add a blue sky or a pink evening sun on the horizon.
While coloring, you can imagine what the archaeologist will find next: an old map, a lizard with surprisingly strong opinions, or the entrance to a quiet temple. You can download this coloring page for free and print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are colored pencils, a cozy spot, and a little spirit of adventure.
