For the hard hat, a rich yellow or a sporty orange works great, just like on a real construction site. The skyscraper invites experimentation, so try shades of gray with colorful windows, or let your imagination run wild and turn it into a building made of pure rainbow colors. Some kids like coloring every single window in a different color; it takes a bit longer, but it looks wonderfully lively in the end.
