Artist Drawing Zoo Animals Coloring Page
So glad you stopped by! Today we have a coloring page that smells like a day out where nobody gets tired feet: an artist sitting right in the middle of the zoo, drawing the animals. A lion, a giraffe, and a curious monkey peek over her shoulder, as if they want to know whether she got them just right.

The Zoo Artist and Her Animal Models
What's especially lovely about this picture is how much there is to discover. There's the artist with her sketchbook and pencil in hand, and there are the animals, each bringing its own personality along. So your child can not only color in the girl, but also decide how wild or gentle each animal should look. That turns coloring into a little zoo adventure on paper.
Tip: Give Each Animal Its Own Color World
Warm yellow and brown tones work well for the giraffe, and the spots can even wander over the edges a bit, that looks wild and real. The lion can happily get a golden coat, while the mane looks truly majestic in a strong reddish-brown. For the artist herself, cheerful clothing works nicely, maybe a sweater in turquoise or pink, so she doesn't get lost among all the animal colors.
If you like, you can even make up a little story to go with it: What is the artist drawing right now, and what is the monkey thinking? You can download the picture for free and print it at home on standard letter paper, and the zoo fun can continue right at home.
