Busy Builder: The Beaver and His Dam
All around, the river bubbles along, a few stones rest in the water, and maybe even a curious fish is peeking around the corner. There's so much to discover: the beaver's shaggy fur, his wide tail, all the little branches, and of course the flowing water surrounding everything. Plenty of space for little hands eager to get started with crayons or colored pencils.
Tip: Water doesn't always have to be blue
Try out some unusual colors together – a river can shimmer turquoise, green, or even a bit purple, depending on how the sun is shining. The beaver's fur looks great when shaded, with light brown and dark brown tones making it appear much more three-dimensional. You can color the branches in different wood tones, from sandy to almost black, which really brings the dam to life.
Maybe you can come up with a little story together: What might the beaver's name be, and why is he working so eagerly today? Questions like these spark the imagination while the crayons glide across the paper. You can download this coloring page for free and conveniently print it at home on regular A4 paper – and just like that, you have an afternoon full of river adventures.
