Two Little Friends on a Stone: Butterfly and Ladybug
What makes this especially fun for kids is that there are two favorite motifs in one picture. The butterfly's big, patterned wings invite all sorts of colors to be tried out, while the round ladybug with its spots can be a nice little exercise for steady little hands. The stone, with its tiny cracks and patches of moss, can also be colored in a wonderfully imaginative way.
Coloring Idea: Which Color World Suits Whom?
The butterfly can be as colorful as can be: pink, turquoise, yellow, or purple, whatever your child feels like. The ladybug, on the other hand, usually sticks to its classic red with black spots, though a bold adventure into orange or blue is just as welcome. For the stone, muted gray and brown tones work nicely, creating a lovely contrast with the bright little creatures.
If you like, you can even make up a little story: maybe the butterfly is telling the ladybug what it feels like to fly, while the ladybug listens patiently. Just download the picture for free and print it at home on a regular A4 sheet. Then the coloring fun can begin, with no rush and plenty of room for your own ideas.
