A balloon, a pretzel, and so much Oktoberfest fun
At the center stands a child with sparkling eyes in front of a pretzel stand, holding a round balloon tightly. Beside them, pretzels of every size are waiting to be brought to life with colored pencils. The stand itself, with its curved roof and little flags, is also great fun to fill with color.
Tip: Try traditional-costume colors and gingerbread-heart tones
For true festival flair, red, white, and blue work wonderfully, just like the ribbons on traditional costumes and dirndl bows. The balloon, meanwhile, can shine in a bold color like pink or yellow so it really stands out among all the warm pretzel tones. The pretzels themselves come alive with shades ranging from light golden brown to a rich caramel tone, with a touch of white for the salt on top.
Maybe you can invent a little story together about who this child's best friend might be, and whether the balloon ends up flying home with them or staying behind at the fair. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out at home on A4 paper, and the colorful festival day can begin on paper.
