Small details like trees at the foot of the mountain or a bird in the sky invite a closer look and creative embellishing. So there's plenty of room for your child's own ideas.
Tip: Color gradients like a real morning sky
A sunrise lives on its color transitions, and that's exactly what makes it so exciting to color. Up in the sky it can still be dark blue or purple, while closer to the sun it turns orange, pink, and yellow. The mountain peaks can glow in warm light while the lower slopes still lie in cool shadow. If you like, let the sun shine strong yellow-orange, like a yolk just rising.
