Forest Hiking Trip: A Coloring Page for Little Explorers
What's especially lovely about this picture is how much there is to discover. The children balance across a fallen tree trunk, a girl points excitedly at a bird, and in the background the trail winds further into the forest. There's tree bark, leaves, backpacks, and curious faces just waiting to be brought to life with color.
Tip: The Forest in Every Shade of Green
For the forest, it's worth using more than just one green. Mix a dark pine green for the shadows, a bright spring green for the clearings, and maybe even a touch of yellow for the sunbeams peeking through the leaves. The children's backpacks can be as colorful as you like, just like their hiking jackets, so each character gets their own little personality.
If you like, you can even make up a little story while coloring: where might the children be hiking to? Maybe to a secret cave or a picnic spot by the stream. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on a regular A4 sheet. Then all you need is some crayons, a quiet corner, and the shared forest adventure can begin on paper.
