Daffodils and Butterfly: Heralds of Spring to Color
On this coloring page, a delicate butterfly flutters back and forth among several daffodils, as if hopping from bloom to bloom. Your kids can color in the trumpet-shaped petals of the daffodils, design the fine wing patterns of the butterfly, and along the way discover just how many different shapes a spring meadow actually has to offer.
Tip: Bring it to life with spring colors
A bold yellow works especially well for the daffodils, perhaps with a few lighter or darker touches here and there to make the flowers feel lively. The butterfly, on the other hand, can be as colorful as you like: orange, turquoise, or a soft purple look wonderful on its wings, and a few small dots or stripes will make it a real eye-catcher. If you like, you can add some green blades of grass growing around it or draw the sun in a corner.
