A fluffy cloud to color in
The lovely thing about a cloud as a subject is that there are no fixed rules. Your child can keep it in classic white-gray, or you can try a little color experiment together. Maybe the cloud will get a smiling face, or colorful raindrops and little stars will rain down from it. There are no limits to imagination here.
Tip: Get inspired by the rainbow
Since our cloud comes from the Rainbow category, it's a great idea to bring in a few colorful touches. How about giving the cloud a soft pink or pale blue shimmer, just like the sky right before a rainbow appears? Nice contrasts also happen if you shade the edges a bit darker and keep the middle lighter, so the cloud looks nice and three-dimensional.
This coloring page is especially great for younger kids, since the shapes are big and round and easy to color in with thick crayons or wax crayons. Older kids can experiment with watercolors and create soft transitions, almost like a real sky after the rain. You can download the coloring page for free and print it out at home on standard paper – then the crayon sky can begin. Maybe add a second sheet with a rainbow, and in no time your single cloud turns into a whole little weather story on the kitchen table.
