Strong Woman in the Trench: The Construction Worker Lays Pipes

What makes this picture special is the mix of hard work and real skill. Your kids can color the construction worker's helmet in bright colors, paint her sturdy work clothes, and of course the long pipes winding through the trench. The surrounding soil, with its layers and little stones, also offers plenty of room for creative details.

Tip: Combining earth, metal, and safety colors

Various shades of brown work especially well for the trench, from light sandy brown to dark, damp earth. This quickly creates depth in the picture. You can color the pipes in bold gray or silver, as if they were made of real metal, or in orange and blue, as is often seen with water pipes. The helmet and safety vest can shine in bright yellow or orange, which creates a lovely contrast with the earthy surroundings.

While coloring, maybe you can tell your kids a little story too: what happens to the pipes once they're buried? Perhaps they bring clean water to all the houses on the street. Simply download the coloring page for free and print it at home at your leisure on a regular A4 sheet. Then the colorful construction site adventure can begin.
