Desert Rabbit Hides in the Shadow of a Cactus
This picture tells a little story that kids will instantly understand: when it gets too warm, you look for a shady spot. All around, fine desert sand, scattered stones, and of course the prickly cactus are just waiting to be filled with color. Plenty of room for little hands that love coloring in big, generous strokes, and for careful artists who want to color every single spine on its own.
Coloring Idea: Mixing Warm Desert Colors
Yellow and beige tones work especially well for the sand, maybe with a few orange dabs here and there for the midday heat. The cactus can be a rich green, and if you like, you can give it a cheeky pink or yellow cactus flower for a bit of variety. The rabbit itself looks especially lifelike in sandy brown, but a bold gray or even a light blue desert rabbit is perfectly fine too – in the desert, everyone gets to have their own pace and their own color.
