A Desert Sunset to Color
Your child can color not just sand and sun here, but also discover what else lives in the desert. Maybe a cactus peeks around the corner, or a camel caravan strolls leisurely across the dunes. The curving lines of the sand hills invite little hands to trace along with a steady hand, while the sky leaves plenty of room for creativity.
Coloring Tip for the Perfect Desert Sky
A sunset lives through its transitions. Try out together how orange gently blends into pink, and pink in turn fades into a deep purple at the top edge of the picture. The sand can glow in warm shades of yellow and brown, with a few lighter spots where the sun shines especially strongly. If you like, let the sun itself shine in bold red or bright yellow, almost as if it were flashing brightly one last time before disappearing behind the dunes.
And while the crayons travel across the paper, you can come up with a little story together about who might be wandering through this desert right now and where their journey leads. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the desert adventure can begin.
