A curious dolphin says hello from the dock
What makes this picture especially nice is the mix of animal and scenery. Your child can not only color in the dolphin's smooth body, but also the dock, the water, and maybe even a few little clouds in the sky. That way, a simple coloring page turns into a little underwater story almost without noticing.
Tip: water doesn't always have to be blue
Many kids automatically reach for the blue crayon when it comes to the ocean, but here it's fun to experiment a bit. Turquoise, green, or even a soft purple make for exciting waves, while the dolphin itself looks especially lively in classic gray or dark blue with a lighter belly. The dock can be colored in warm wood brown, as if the sun had just been shining on it.
If you like, you can come up with a little story to go along with it: maybe the dolphin is named Flipper and swims by every morning to say hello. You can download this picture for free and print it out at home at your leisure, best on regular A4 paper. Then all you need are some crayons, a cozy corner, and the coloring fun can begin. Have lots of fun coloring with your little dolphin friend.
