Double the color: the coloring page with a double rainbow over the field
In the picture, two rainbows arch over a wide field, with flowers, a few blades of grass, and maybe a curious cloud at the edge. Your child gets to bring color into play twice here: once for the bold inner arc, and once for the slightly softer outer one, which in nature always looks a bit paler too. Then there's the field, just waiting to shine in lush green or colorful meadow shades.
Coloring idea: give the outer arc softer colors
A little tip from experience: since real double rainbows often look like the outer arc is paler than the inner one, you can recreate that nicely with colored pencils. For the inner arc, feel free to press down firmly, bold red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. For the outer one, a gentle stroke is enough, almost as if you're only hinting at it ever so lightly. In the end it looks really authentic and is fun to experiment with too.
Anyone who likes can tell the story of the field where, after the rain, suddenly not just one but two bands of color appear, to the delight of all the butterflies and beetles below. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, then nothing stands in the way of coloring fun.
