The hen on her nest: a cozy Easter picture to color
Your child can get creative with the hen's feathers, which allow for anything from simple lines to imaginative patterns. The nest with its many little bits of straw, and of course the eggs, also offer plenty of space for colorful ideas. A motif where patience and imagination come together wonderfully.
Tip: Give each egg its own story
It looks especially lovely when each egg in the nest gets its own color or pattern. One could be dotted, another striped, and a third kept in soft pastel tones. Warm colors such as reddish-brown, orange, or gentle yellow work well for the hen herself, while the comb can shine in a bold red. The nest can be colored in earthy browns or spring green, depending on whether it should look more like straw or meadow.
If you like, tell your child a little story along the way: the hen is waiting patiently until, perhaps soon, little chicks hatch from the eggs. That way, coloring turns into a small Easter adventure. You can download this coloring page for free and easily, then print it at home on A4 paper, and the crayon or watercolor fun can begin.
