The Peace Dove with a Colorful Rainbow in Its Beak
Your kids get to explore two things here at once: the soft wings of the dove, which look wonderful in gentle gray or white tones, and the rainbow, which is practically begging for bold colors. Among the wing feathers there are also little details to discover that are perfect for working out with colored pencils.
Tip: From the Lightest to the Darkest Shade
A lovely way to start is to color the rainbow stripe by stripe, following the classic order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. This quietly trains the eye for color transitions, though of course the main focus here is simply the joy of coloring. The dove herself is welcome to cheekily break from the norm, maybe today she'll be light blue or get little pink dabs of color on her wings.
