The hardworking dwarf with a pickaxe in the mine
There's plenty to discover and color around the dwarf. There are the rugged rock walls of the tunnel, sparkling stones on the ceiling, and maybe even a lantern lighting the way. The dwarf himself also offers lots of room for creativity, from the pointed cap to the bushy beard and sturdy boots. There's really a lot to do here for little artists' hands.
Tip: Bring out the treasures in the rock
A lovely way to start is by thinking together about what treasures the dwarf might find. Ruby-red and sapphire-blue dots in the stone create sparkling highlights, while the rock wall looks wonderfully three-dimensional in various shades of gray and brown. The dwarf's cap can be a bold red or green, and the beard works well in white or silvery gray. Feel free to let your imagination run wild and invent a little story about why the dwarf is exploring so deep in the mountain today.
You can download the coloring page for free and easily print it at home on standard letter size paper. Then nothing stands in the way of a cozy afternoon with crayons, warm tea, and a little dwarf in the mine.
