An adventurous elephant conquers the tree trunk
What makes this picture special is the mix of strength and humor so typical of elephants. The big ears, the curved trunk, and the sturdy legs invite little ones to take a close look and color carefully. The tree trunk, with its rough bark and a few leaves at the edge, also offers plenty of space for little artist hands, who are welcome to color outside the lines every now and then.
Tip: Gray skin with colorful surprises
Elephants don't always have to be plain gray. How about a touch of blue or purple in the shaded areas to give the animal more depth? The tree trunk looks wonderful in warm brown tones, while lush green for the leaves creates a lovely contrast. If you like, you can even draw the elephant a little colorful hat or scarf, in case it gets cold while climbing.
You can imagine that this elephant is actually on its way to a picnic with friends, and the tree trunk just happened to be in the way. Don't worry, it'll manage just fine. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, and then the little climbing adventure can begin with crayons or colored pencils.
