A gentle giant on a great journey
All around, wide grasslands, maybe a few clouds in the sky, and scattered acacia trees are waiting to be brought to life. Your child can decide for themselves whether the savanna lies in golden sunlight or whether a cool rain shower is approaching. The elephant itself, with its wrinkly skin, offers many small areas that are wonderful for trying out different shades of gray.
Tip: It starts with gray, but ends with imagination
A classic gray for the skin is a good start, but who says elephants can't handle a bit of purple or blue too? Warm yellow and green tones work especially well for the savanna, along with a rich brown for the dusty ground. Small details like tusks or individual blades of grass can be nicely traced with a thin pen once the big areas are colored in.
