A fisherman sets sail: The coloring page for Chinese New Year
What makes this picture especially lovely is the mix of calm water and a boat full of details. Your child can color the curved lines of the hull, discover little lanterns or flags on the mast, and give the fisherman himself a cheerful face. The waves also leave plenty of room for imagination, whether calm and even or wild and playful.
Tip: Capture New Year luck with red and gold
In Chinese New Year, the colors red and gold play a big role, they stand for luck and prosperity. Let your child color the boat in bold red and decorate it with golden or yellow accents, it looks festive and is great fun. The water can shimmer in various shades of blue, perhaps with a few white highlights dancing on the waves like little stars.
If you like, tell a little story along the way: the fisherman is on his way to welcome the new year with a big catch and bring luck to all the villages along the shore. You can download the coloring page easily and for free, then print it comfortably at home on A4 paper. Then the creative afternoon can begin, get your crayons or colored pencils ready and set off on the journey with the New Year boat.
