A flamingo puffs itself up: coloring page with fluffed-up feathers
What makes this design special is the abundance of detail in the feathers. Each individual feather can get its own color, from soft pink to bold pink. Add to that the long, thin legs and the elegantly curved neck, which give your child plenty of room for fine linework. The background also invites adding water, reeds, or a sunset.
Coloring tip: giving the feathers smooth transitions
Try coloring the feathers not in a single flat color, but with gentle gradients. Lighter on the inside, bolder on the outside, this looks especially lively and turns the flamingo into a real eye-catcher. If you like, you can also work with colored pencils and carefully blend the colors into one another, which gives a soft, almost fluffy feel.
If you feel like it, tell a little story along the way: maybe the flamingo puffed itself up because it was windy by the water, or because it simply wanted to show how proud it is of its colorful plumage. Little stories like this make coloring even more exciting. You can download the coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, then the flamingo can shine in its most beautiful colors.
