So glad you stopped by! This coloring page takes you and your child deep into the forest, to the spot where, between the tree trunks, a bright clearing suddenly appears. It's exactly this light-and-dark contrast that makes the picture so special: shady trees all around, and in the middle a meadow full of flowers, where you can really picture the sun shining down.

A sunny forest clearing with a flower meadow to color in
There's plenty to discover and color in this picture. There are tall tree trunks with rough bark, dense foliage, grasses swaying in the wind, and of course the flower meadow with lots of tiny blossoms of different shapes. Maybe your child will even spot a butterfly or a curious little beetle among the stalks. So there's plenty of room for imagination and your own little details.
Coloring idea: From dark to light
A nice tip for this picture: start at the edges with a strong dark green and brown for the tree trunks, and get lighter and lighter as you move toward the middle. This creates the feeling of light falling onto the clearing almost automatically. The flowers, on the other hand, can be as colorful as you like, red, yellow, pink, purple, the main thing is that they look cheerful and match your child's taste.
If you like, you can tell a little story while coloring: who actually lives in this clearing, a hedgehog, a rabbit, or maybe a family of forest mice? You can download this coloring page from us for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, then you're ready to start with crayons or watercolors.
