The Forest Ranger and His New Sign for the Nature Trail

There's plenty for kids to discover on this coloring page. The forest ranger wears his typical work clothes, tall trees stand all around him, and mushrooms, ferns, and little flowers grow along the path. Maybe a curious squirrel is even peeking out from the bushes to see what's being built. So there's lots of room for imaginative details and your own little ideas.

Coloring Idea: A Forest Full of Colors

A warm brown works well for the tree trunks, while the leaves look especially lively in different shades of green. You can color the sign itself in a light wood tone, with darker lines for the grain. The forest ranger can wear a bold green or a plaid pattern, whatever you like best. If you want, color the sky in soft blue with a few clouds to make the forest day look really cheerful.

Along the way, it's a great chance to talk about what a nature trail is actually for and all the things you can discover there. That way, coloring turns into a little forest adventure right at the table. You can download this picture for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper. Grab your crayons, spread out the paper, and let the forest ranger show off his work in bright colors.
