A friendly ghost with a lantern lights up the fog
While coloring, your child can imagine where the ghost might be floating off to and what the lantern is lighting up. The soft fog around it leaves plenty of room for their own ideas, whether with gentle grey tones or a few surprising splashes of color in between.
Tip: Playing with light and shadow
It's especially fun to make the lantern really glow. Yellow or orange in the middle, getting a bit lighter around the edges, creates a little pool of light right in the middle of the fog. The ghost itself can stay snow white or get a soft hint of blue or purple, whatever feels right.
For the fog, different shades of grey blending into one another work great, giving the picture real depth.
