Buzz, buzz, buzz: The farmer and his bees
There's a lot to discover and color in this picture. There are the wooden beehives that look like tiny little houses, the farmer's protective suit with his wide-brimmed hat, and of course the bees themselves, busily flying about. Your child can really let their imagination run wild here and design each bee individually with its own stripes.
Tip: Yellow and black don't have to be boring
Sure, bees are usually striped yellow and black, but who says it has to stay that way? Maybe one bee could get purple stripes or green wings, however your child feels like it. The beehives themselves are perfect for shades of brown, while the farmer can shine in his favorite outfit, whether that's a red sweater or blue overalls.
And while you're at it: imagine the farmer is telling his bees a joke right now, that's why he's smiling so mischievously under his hat. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home on a regular sheet of paper. All you need then are crayons or colored pencils, a cozy spot at the table, and the buzzing can begin on paper.
