A sparkling glacier cave from the inside to color in
What makes this image special is the mix of adventure and calm. There are smooth surfaces for gentle brush strokes and bumpy icicles where little hands can really get into the details. Your child can decide whether the cave should be bright and sparkly or rather dark and mysterious.
Coloring idea: From light blue to deep blue
A nice trick for ice caves is not to work with just one shade of blue. Try together leaving the upper areas light, almost white, and using increasingly darker blue or even a touch of purple further down. This creates depth all on its own, as if the cave really does lead far down. A few white dots or a touch of silver on the icicles work beautifully for little highlights.
If you like, you can also come up with a little story to go along with it: who might live in this cave? A polar bear just passing through, a shivering little goblin, or maybe no one but the wind? The coloring page leaves plenty of room for imagination. You can download the coloring page quickly and for free and print it out at home on A4 paper at your leisure. That way, it's ready and waiting for the next rainy afternoon that calls for a little expedition into the ice.
