A crystal-clear glacier lake to color in
Your child can discover quite a lot here and bring it to life with color. There are the snow-capped peaks in the background, little ice floes drifting on the water, and maybe a few stones on the shore just waiting to become colorful. Even though a glacier lake is icy cold in real life, on paper it's welcome to shine in the loveliest shades.
Tip: From turquoise to deep blue
Glacier lakes are known for their special color, which shifts between turquoise and a rich blue-green. That's due to the fine rock flour suspended in the water. For your coloring page, that means: mixing is encouraged here. Let your child try out different shades of blue and green, maybe even with a touch of white for shimmering light reflections. The mountains around it can shine in cool gray or warm brown, depending on whether sun or clouds are hanging over the pictured landscape.
Anyone who likes can tell a little story while coloring, for example about a brave hike to the lake's shore or a marmot that might live at the edge of the picture. You can download the coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper, and the little mountain adventure with crayons can begin.
